Our story

Friends first. Then a sales team. Then a plant.

Stat Products was incorporated in 1961 by George Volin, a manufacturer’s representative in retail pharmacy packaging. In 1978 he met David Franco, who sold computer systems to independent pharmacies. They called on the same stores, traded leads, and became friends.

When David’s software company shifted toward hospital systems, he joined George. Good friends, and a strong New England sales team.

John Franco joined in the fall of 1982 for office support and inside sales. Getting new and existing customers answered promptly has been the job ever since. Inquiries are handled immediately.

In-house manufacturing equipment
Why we manufacture

If labels are the product, the plant has to be ours.

As sales grew, so did quality and delivery problems from outside converters. After years of depending on other manufacturers, it was clear: Stat Products needed to make the prescription labels we sold.

From that point on we have controlled prepress, production, and finishing. That is how we keep quality high and turnaround short — from the first in-house run to today.

Pharmacists do not have the time to reprint labels that print poorly, are difficult to tear, or jam expensive printers.

Quality starts with the stock. We buy from leading paper mills and pressure-sensitive coaters, and specify materials engineered for pharmacy print and dispensing systems.

The converting equipment itself was engineered in-house for this specialized construction.

We will not copy a competitor’s poorly constructed label form. Send us your print routine and we will create a perfect fit for your label style, ensuring that the label that leaves the prescription counter looks as professional as the care behind it.

One product. Nationwide.

We ship to all fifty states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.

Exceptional quality has no boundaries. Our sales and production team takes pride in the craft of prescription-label converting. Perfection takes preparation and focus. Join us on that quest.
